August Kiss Fegley is an NYC based actor and designer. This year she became an award-winning playwright for her vaudevillian western, SALOON GIRLS, which brought home the 2025 Derek Award for Hidden Gem of the Fringe and the Fringe Theater Award. She has worked with Chautauqua Theatre Company, Syracuse Stage, The Tank, 59E59 Theaters and Fringe Arts, among others. She was featured in the pilot of Born2Lose (2025 Winner of Best Episodic at LALIFF), and starred in Syracuse Stage’s touring production of The Girl Who Swallowed a Cactus.
Recently she was hailed as “a commanding presence that cannot be ignored” by Randall David Cook at The Recs UK.
August’s self-produced works intend to educate audiences as they entertain. She is influenced by stories that speak on substance use, sex positivity, and family dynamics.
August holds a BFA in Acting from Syracuse University’s Department of Drama and has studied under Moisés Kaufman with Tectonic Theatre Project’s Moment Work Institute (The Laramie Project, Here There Are Blueberries).
She is a freelance costume and production designer and stylist.
